Martha Stewart wears high fashion for Harper's Bazaar March 2021 issue
Martha Stewart's latest feature in the March 2021 issue of Harper's Bazaar is capturing attention.
The 79-year-old businesswoman and television host is photographed for the publication's upcoming issue in a variety of fashion-forward looks. She's seen gracefully posing and working all her best angles in everything from a caped Giambattista Valli gown to a stylish blazer and bucket hat.
One of her most standout looks from the shoot is a Balmain minidress adorned with buttons down the center and paired with fishnet stockings and pumps.
"After spending decades devoted to the business of improving people's lives, #MarthaStewart's touch is everywhere," Harper's Bazaar wrote in a post introducing Stewart's feature. "You can thank the DIY trailblazer for the simple pleasures we now recognize as beautifully photographed cookbooks or luxurious homewares affordably shelved at department stores."
The caption continued, "Today, the original influencer remains as relevant as ever thanks to her relentless reinvention, shrewd branding, and the occasional thirst trap."
Written by Jada Yuan and styled by the magazine's editor-in-chief Samira Nasr, Stewart's feature highlights everything from her decades-long career to her hot poolside photo that went viral last year -- which she simply stated, "I thought I looked nice, so I just snapped the picture."
When discussing her years as a stockbroker on Wall Street, Stewart recalled wearing "hot pants" and describing them as little tiny short-shorts where you see "plenty of leg and a little bit of your butt." "And I looked great in them," Stewart said. "We would sit with our feet up on our desks, and I had high-heeled shoes on or boots. And that’s what we wore to work."
Stewart also opened up about her feelings around the #MeToo movement. "I've known almost every single one of the famous guys that has been accused and set aside. Some were certainly guilty of a lot of what was accused. But some were — it's just their awful personalities. I am not going to mention their names, but I know those people very, very well, and you know the man just talks about sex during dinner. That doesn't mean anything to me."
