Naomi Osaka is serving eye-catching looks at the Australian Open.

The world No. 17 turned heads on Tuesday, debuting a new look she told Vogue was inspired by her 2-year-old daughter Shai, whom she shares with former partner, rapper Cordae.

Osaka entered Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne sporting a Robert Wun design that included a wide-brimmed white hat adorned with a white butterfly, an ethereal white veil, a white pleated miniskirt over white wide-legged pants and a white umbrella with a butterfly.

The 28-year-old also incorporated a turquoise green racerback and zip-up from Nike and matching sneakers.

Osaka, a mom of one, said the genesis of the design was sparked after she read a book to Shai that featured jellyfish.

Wun also told Vogue the butterfly detail on Osaka's hat was also inspired by a memorable moment from the 2021 Australian Open when a butterfly landed on Osaka's face mid-match.

Osaka worked with Wun and Nike to come up with the final statement inspired by both jellyfish and butterflies in what the two-time Australian Open title winner described to Vogue as "the birth of something new."

After her match, Osaka also confirmed the significance of the butterfly details to broadcaster and former tennis player Jelena Dokic.

"There's a butterfly on the hat and … there's a butterfly on the umbrella too. It has to do with the Australian Open that I won in 2021," Osaka said.
