Joanne is then seen telling friends at a dinner party that she doesn't plan on converting to Judaism. She tells the group that she and Noah are going to do the \"interfaith thing.\" When Noah doesn't confirm that plan, his brother Sasha (Timothy Simons) asks, \"Do you guys wanna sidebar this till after dinner?\"

Erin Foster created the show, which was executive produced by her sister Sara Foster.

The cast also includes Justine Lupe, Paul Ben-Victor, Tovah Feldshuh and Jackie Tohn.

At the 2025 Emmys, Lupe, who portrays Joanne's sister Morgan, told \"Good Morning America\" that the upcoming season is \"really fun.\"

She added that the creators of the show \"really tried to cater to what the audience loved about last year and also play around with how far they could go.\"

\"I think there's a lot of good stuff coming up, I'm excited,\" she said.

Tohn, who plays Noah's sister-in-law, Esther, in the series, added that the success of the show had been \"cuckoo banana pants.\"

\"It's definitely nuts,\" she told \"GMA\" at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards. \"You can never prepare for the show to explode in the way that it has, and it's such a dream.\"
