The pair join an already star-studded cast, which includes Mike Myers as Shrek, Eddie Murphy as Donkey, Cameron Diaz as Fiona, and Zendaya as Shrek and Fiona's daughter Felicia.

\"Shrek 5\" was first announced in July last year.

The highly anticipated upcoming film will take fans back to a land \"Far, Far Away for a thrilling new adventure,\" according to a Universal Pictures press release.

Conrad Vernon and Walt Dohrn are directing, and Gina Shay and Chris Meledandri are producing the film. 

Brad Ableson is co-directing. 

\"Shrek 5\" will arrive in theaters on June 30, 2027.
