On the gold carpet, attendees embraced fashion inspired by their cultures, as well as glamorous looks by AANHPI designers. 

When asked about representing their culture at Gold Gala and honoring AANHPI designers, Carrere, who wore a gold Filipiñana gown by Glademir Echavarre, told \"Good Morning America\" that the reason why the event encourages many to represent their culture on the carpet.

\"The reason why everybody comes out representing their style and their ethnicity is because it's basically a dictate of the event,\" the \"Lilo and Stitch\" star said. \"I love that they ask us to do this and represent our colors and costumes. And I think that's why everyone comes out so diverse.\"
