The wrestler said that Tarantino, whom he described as \"a really cool guy,\" told him, \"'I handpicked your dad for this.'\"

\"I guess because his role was kind of symbolic,\" Jack continued. \"He definitely knew he wanted my dad for it.\"

Perry's son said he's excited to see the film, which hits theaters in July.

\"It's like a nice little send-off I guess,\" Jack said. \"I'm glad he got to do that.\"

During the podcast appearance, Jack discussed his father's tragic passing.

\"The whole thing was just so strange,\" he said. \"It still doesn't really feel real to me. It happened so quick and just kind of out of the blue.\"

In an Instagram post, he said, \"He loved and supported me in everything, and inspired me to be the best that I could possibly be.\"

He was a lot of things to a lot of people. To me, he was always Dad. He loved and supported me in everything, and inspired me to be the best that I could possibly be. I’ve learned so much from you, and my heart is broken thinking about everything you won’t be here for. I’ll miss you every day that I walk this earth.
