Many of Lizzo's fans were quick to comment and respond to her claim. \"They've been caught doing this to many people actually,\" Brad Osterhout wrote.

Jake Colvin also chimed in saying, \"It's so disheartening when TikTok picks favorites and discriminates ... it happens to me I can't image how much more it happens to others.\"

A spokesperson for TikTok told \"Good Morning America\" that their team is \"obsessed\" with Lizzo and really love how much she interacts with the platform.

However, any videos that are taken down are moderated based on the platform's community guidelines

While there isn't a strict policy against swimsuits, there are other restrictions that TikTok claims Lizzo's videos did not fall in line with.

TikTok guidelines on Adult nudity and sexual activities

We do not allow sexually explicit or gratifying content on TikTok, including animated content of this nature. Sexualized content carries many risks, such as triggering legal penalties in some jurisdictions and causing harm to our users through sharing non-consensual imagery (for example, revenge porn). Also, overtly sexual content can be offensive within certain cultures. We do allow exceptions around nudity and sexually explicit content for educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic purposes. For example, content discussing or showing mastectomy scars is allowed.

The platform confirmed to \"GMA\" that the videos were not removed because Lizzo was wearing a swimsuit, and that there are several other videos of Lizzo in swimsuits that have not been taken down.

The platform also advised that there is a moderation as well as an appeals process in place for all videos and users.
