Cordero was 41 years old when he died in July following a monthslong battle with COVID-19 and its complications. During his hospitalization, the actor, who earned a Tony nomination in 2014 for his role in \"Bullets Over Broadway,\" sustained several lung infections and required a leg amputation.

Still, Kloots remained optimistic about her husband's prognosis and encouraged fans to sing his song, \"Live Your Life,\" every afternoon. When Cordero died, she wrote in an Instagram post that he was \"surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying.\"

\"He was an incredible actor and musician. He loved his family and loved being a father and husband,\" she added. \"Elvis and I will miss him in everything we do, everyday.\"
