\"The Dance,\" which came out in 1989, is about being thankful for an experience, even if it's painful.

The song includes the lyrics, \"I'm glad I didn't know/ The way it all would end/ The way it all would go/ Our lives are better left to chance/ I would have missed the pain/ But I'd have had to miss the dance.\"

Clarkson, 38, said on Monday that the song perfectly sums up her feelings about the divorce from husband Brandon Blackstock. She also revealed her new song includes the lines, \"Even though my heart is broken/ It was worth the dance anyway.\"
