\"I want to get my degree because I really want my mom to be proud,\" the 26-year-old rapper said in an interview with People. \"She saw me going to school before she passed.\"

Megan previously revealed that her mother, Holly Thomas, had a brain tumor and died in March 2019.

\"I'm doing it for me, but I'm also doing it for the women in my family who made me who I am today,\" she added.

Now with a sizzling music career, plus fashion endorsements, and recently becoming a Popeyes franchise owner, the artist has special plans to utilize her degree.

\"I'm gonna open an assisted-living facility and use the money that I make from rapping to open it,\" she told People. \"Then I'm gonna let my classmates run it.\"
