She said the new tattoo served as \"validation every day of the three most important things in my life: family, purpose and unconditional love.\"

In the post, Irwin also said that she felt like it was \"the perfect time for this empowering artwork\" because she has finished breastfeeding her daughter.

Bindi's husband, Chandler Powell, praised the design in a comment on the post: \"Such gorgeous artwork❤️ You amaze me every day. Each one is meaningful to mark this special time in our life together. Also, the Florida in me loves the alligator. 🐊 Love you so much.\"

Bindi and Powell welcomed Grace Warrior Irwin Powell on March 25, 2021. In the birth announcement, Bindi explained the significance of their daughter's name.

\"Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s,\" she said. \"Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior. Her last name is Powell and she already has such a kind soul just like her dad.\"
