— -- Fitness guru Shaun T's popular Insanity and Hip-Hop Abs workouts have helped sculpt the bodies of stars from Chris Pratt to Missy Elliott and more.

"Good Morning America" sent special correspondent Cameron Mathison to train with Shaun T and the super trainer revealed tips to burn weight fast.

  • 85-15. Eat 85 percent healthy, 15 percent fun. Don’t deprive yourself. Thompson refers to the “fun” meal as the treat meal, not the cheat meal. “You know, you treat yourself sometimes to enjoy your meal. You're not cheating,” he said. “It's not a bad thing to enjoy food.”
  • Keep your abs engaged during workouts.
  • Never hold your breath while exercising.

Born Shaun Thompson, Shaun T. talked with ABC’s Cameron Mathison about how he came up with his intense workouts.

The trainer said he believes that no one workout works for everyone.

“I like to not use too much weights and equipment because I want it to be easily accessible to the people at home, for some people who don't want to go to the gym or they don't like to go outside and run. So I try to bring it all into your own little workout space,” he said.
