Democratic candidate Annie Andrews will win the election for Senate in South Carolina, ABC News projects, flipping the seat once held by the late Lindsey Graham and notching a major win for Democrats.

Lindsey Graham's sister, Darline Graham, who was appointed to his seat following his death, is projected to lose her bid for a full term.

It is a major coup for Democrats, as South Carolina has not elected a Democrat to the Senate since 1998 and Trump won the state by 18 percentage points in 2024.

New Hampshire Senate Voter Poll findings

Independents in New Hampshire supported Democrat Chris Pappas, who is projected to win the Senate race, by about 20 percentage points, according to ABC News Voter Polls. In 2022, independents broke for Democrat Maggie Hassan by 11 percentage points, according to Edison exit polls.

New Hampshire voters across the income spectrum supported Pappas over Republican John Sununu by about 10 percentage points, according to ABC News Voter Polls. This is a change from 2022, when the Democratic advantage in the New Hampshire Senate race narrowed among higher-earning voters.

Although he was not on the ballot, Trump's influence on the New Hampshire Senate race was felt; Sununu sought to create distance from the president. A small share of Trump's 2024 voters supported Pappas, according to ABC News Voter Polls.
