Bindi Irwin shares adorable photo to announce she is pregnant

Bindi Irwin and her husband Chandler Powell just announced they are expecting their first child.

The couple, who got married in a small ceremony at the Australia Zoo in March, revealed the exciting news in several Instagram posts.

"Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021," the 22-year-old daughter of late "Crocodile Hunter" star Steve Irwin announced in a post, which featured a photo of the couple holding a tiny shirt.

"Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting!" she wrote. "It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you."

She went on, "Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter. We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives."

She asked her followers to send her their "best advice" along with prayers for their baby on the way. "Your support means the world to us," she said.

In Powell's post sharing the news, he wrote, "Becoming a dad is the highlight of my life."

"I cannot wait to embark on this new adventure and life chapter with my gorgeous wife, @bindisueirwin," he added. "Bee, you’re going to be the most amazing mother."

Terri Irwin, Bindi's mother and Steve Irwin's widow, shared a photo with the couple, writing, "This is the best day ever! I am over the moon to announce that @BindiIrwin and @chandlerpowell9 are going to have a baby!"

"Words cannot express the love that is filling my heart," she added. "While I wish that Steve was here to share this beautiful moment, I know that he would be so proud."

Bindi Irwin's younger brother, Robert, 16, called the pregnancy announcement "the most exciting news ever."

"I am so happy for Bindi and Chandler to be welcoming a new member of the family," he captioned his post. "I can’t believe I’m going to be an uncle!!! It’s such a happy time for our family - I look forward to this brilliant new chapter and all the fun adventures ahead with a new little Wildlife Warrior!"
