Chance the Rapper announced Wednesday that he is getting married this weekend to his longtime girlfriend, Kirsten Corley -- in the sweetest way possible.

The artist, whose real name is Chancelor Bennett, shared the story of when he first met Corley when they were kids.

Sharing a childhood photo of Corley, he explained that he first saw her at his mother's company office party he attended when he was 9 years old.

“STORYTIME: So this photo was taken on the day that I first met my wife!" he wrote along with the image.

"In the year 2003, my mom used to work as a real estate agent at a black-owned franchise called Re/Max Exclusive Properties," he tweeted. "One night, she took, my dad and my brother and I to one of her office parties to get better acquainted with her co-workers.”

“I was 9 [years] old at the time so I was prolly oblivious to what was going on and had no say in how I spent my evenings, anyway," he continued. "BUT THEN… out of nowhere, we were all told to make room, to spread out and make a circle for a presentation."

"This is when my memory comes back in a photographic manner," he added. "We were instructed to make way for an exclusive performance by DESTINY’S CHILD!!”

He said that along with the rest of the attendees, his brother, Taylor Bennett, and him made a semicircle to watch the performance.

"From the back stepped out 3 young girls. Who were not Destiny’s Child,” he tweeted. "'QUESTION. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT ME.' Now I’m locking eyes with the prettiest girl I ever seen in my almost-a-decade of life on Earth."

"I really shouldn’t even say locked eyes cause really, I was just staring at her; as she and her girls were conquering this choreography and mastering the art of lip-syncing in a way even the most professional performers have yet to accomplish," he added.

Chance said his father encouraged him to get out there and dance as well.

"Young me was shy," he wrote. "This wasn’t the time or place. Not just because it wasn’t my party, not because it was their moment to dance, not even cause I was nervous about dancing in front of folks. It’s cause I knew I was gonna marry that girl."

"So I shook my head with anxiety, moved to the back of the crowd and never even introduced myself," he added.

"16 years later it’s happening this [weekend] is the time, and the place is my wedding," he announced. "I’m gonna dance with my wife because this is my destiny.”

Chance the Rapper proposed in July. He described Corley as his "oldest and best friend," in a post months before. "You are responsible for everyone of the most wonderful things in my life," he wrote about her.

"I’m forever grateful that God made me find you, and even more grateful that you made me find God," he wrote in a post on Corley's birthday in May. "Forever and ever babe."

The couple has a 3-year-old daughter, Kensli Bennett.
