What a story to tell! Legendary singer David Crosby is sharing the intimate details of his life in the new film, "David Crosby: Remember My Name." Crosby goes one-on-one with Oscar winning director Cameron Crowe, who interviews the singer about everything from writing music and performances to his time in prison and relationships. The duo joined Peter Travers in studio to talk about the making of the film.

"He's known me since he was 15," Crosby told Travers of Crowe. "What he brought to this, is A, he's a consummate filmmaker. And B, he knew me left, right and center. He knows where all the bones are buried. Whatever went on, he was there."

Crosby said they worked closely to determine how his life story would be presented.

"We had what you'd call, a unity of purpose," Crosby, 77, told Travers. "We completely agreed about the level in which we wanted to approach the thing, which is rare in any project, music or film. We wanted to show you the truth about a human being as closely as we could, without any reservations at all."

Crowe said he decided to do the first interview with Crosby to set the tone of the film. That's when things took a new direction.

"I ran into A.J. Eaton (director) and David (Crosby). It was at J.J. Abrams' office," Crowe said. "And I saw in David's eyes that he was ready to talk, like he wanted to go there in this film."

He added, "so I said, 'well, I'll just do the first interview. And he's the best interview ever. And I just kept interviewing him until I had to be in the show with him. And that was a great day."
