One thing is made clear by the new trailer for an upcoming behind-the-scenes series on Disney+: Everybody involved in making "The Mandalorian" seems to be having a lot of Star Wars fun.
The new streaming series, called "Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian," features executive producer Jon Favreau leading roundtable discussions with the cast and crew of the hit show along with interviews and new footage from the set.
In a trailer that debuted on "Good Morning America," Favreau is joined by directors Bryce Dallas Howard, Taika Waititi, Rick Famuyiwa and Deborah Chow, who tells a story about actor Werner Herzog and The Child -- otherwise known as Baby Yoda -- on set.
MORE: Everything you need to know about 'Baby Yoda' from 'The Mandalorian'"It was like one of the weirdest and best things that ever happened with Werner," Chow says. "He started directing the baby directly. He was telling us, 'We needed to commit to the magic. Make them use the puppet.'"
For the record, Baby Yoda is brought to life using a mix of puppetry and digital effects by artists at Industrial Light & Magic.
Each of the eight episodes will focus on a different aspect of "The Mandalorian" production process, including groundbreaking virtual set-building technology, musical score, creatures, props and effects.
The series will also explore the legacy of that galaxy far, far away created by George Lucas.
