Could Rachel Brosnahan actually be ready to take on a real-life stand-up comedy routine? The actress is so impressive in her comedy series, she almost comes off as the real deal.

"When you sign up to play a surgeon on television, it's not recommended that you try to perform surgery," Brosnahan said in a recent appearance on "Popcorn with Peter Travers." "It wouldn't go well for anyone. I feel the same way about doing stand-up."

Travers noted that the show team appears to put great emphasis on production.

"We spend about six months shooting eight episodes," Brosnahan, 29, told Travers. "That's why they are the quality they are, the colors and the costumes and hair and makeup and the cinematography, the set design. It feels like we're shooting a movie every 10 to 14 days. It's extraordinary. It's like nothing else I've ever been a part of."

Brosnahan said while she enjoys working on the show, it's still a lot of hard work.

"We have so much fun together. And we have so much fun getting to talk about the show," she said. "Even when it's the hardest, we're constantly being pushed and challenged, and we're so creatively satisfied and satisfied as a group. You can't really ask for more than that."
