Soul Train Awards 2021: Complete winners list

WATCH: Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold talk hosting Soul Train Awards

The 2021 Soul Train Awards aired on Sunday night, honoring the best in Soul, R&B and Hip-Hop music.

The annual show was pre-taped at New York's iconic Apollo Theater and hosted by Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell.

The awards ceremony featured performances from Silk Sonic’s Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, Ari Lennox, Lucky Daye, Fred Hammond, Tone Stith, Musiq Soulchild, Leon Bridges, ELHAE and Summer Walker.

Ashanti also took the stage with guests Ja Rule and Fat Joe after accepting the Lady of Soul Award.

Maxwell delivered an emotional speech while accepting the Living Legend Award.

"We had food stamps, we had low-income housing, but we had a radio and the radio was the window to my dreams," he said. "To be able to stand here before all of you and to be part of the community of R&B and soul music is truly the award that I've always wished for..."

He then serenaded the crowd with medley of classic hits.
