He plays a superhero on the big screen but Chris Evans certainly takes his work home with him and proved that yet again Sunday night at the 2019 Oscars.

Regina King won the first award of the night for best supporting actress for her role in "If Beale Street Could Talk" and when it looked like she was having trouble getting up to the stage to accept the award, Evans stepped in. He didn't hesitate for even a second.

It looked as though King got her heel stuck somewhere in her glorious gown.

Captain America himself took her arm and literally walked her right up to the stage.

After the after-parties, King could be seen thanking her knight in shining armor. Well, maybe a blue tux, but he's still her champion.

So many enjoyed the moment, including Jamie Lee Curtis.

But as many fans pointed out, this isn't the first time Evans has risen to the occasion.

Three years ago, icon Betty White won an award at the Critics' Choice and Evans offered his arm yet again.
