Metallica, the band known for its dark lyrics and heavy metal sound, is showing its soft side with the release of a children's book.

The "ABCs of Metallica" will include rhymes and illustrations that look back at the history of the iconic rock group, and all for a great cause.

A "portion of the proceeds" will benefit All Within My Hands "as we continue to support workforce education and the fight against hunger," the band's website states.

All Within My Hands was founded in 2017. The foundation supports workforce education, the fight against hunger and other critical local services.
