While this year's Oscars fashion was quite different, one alluring hue that remained a true classic was gold.

Gilded metallics were all the rage and reigned supreme as one of the biggest standout trends on the red carpet.

From Carey Mulligan's hard-to-miss Valentino sparkle to Questlove's crocs, gold popped up several times and was hard to miss.

Ahead, see and swoon over celebrity looks that were a gleaming nod to Oscars statue gold.

The best actress nominee glowed in a two-piece Valentino Haute Couture look that included a strapless crop top and full ballgown-style skirt. She paired the look with an updo hairstyle and neutral-toned makeup.

The two-time Oscar nominee looked dapper in a double-brested suit designed by Brioni. He finished the look with shiny patent-leather black shoes.
