After improving his dance skills while competing on "Dancing with the Stars" in 2020, AJ McLean is now helping his daughter learn from the pros as well.

The Backstreet Boys singer shared a video on Tuesday of his 9-year-old daughter, Ava, hitting the dance studio with six-time Mirrorball champion Derek Hough.

Alongside the clip of the pair showing off their moves, McLean wrote, "Thank you @derekhough for doing a one-on-one lesson with Ava! Best experience ever. You’re a true legend and rockstar!!"

Ava is one of McLean's two daughters with his wife, Rochelle DeAnna McLean. They are also parents to 4-year-old Lyric.

McLean has many friends within the "Dancing With The Stars" family after competing on season 29 of the show alongside pro Cheryl Burke.

The duo was sent home on the ninth week of the competition -- the episode before the semifinals. Following his stint on the show, McLean opened up about how impactful the experience was.

"I learned really quickly within the first few weeks that, yes, it's a dance competition, but there's way more to it than that," he shared on "Good Morning America."

"Those that are gone and those that are still here moving forward, I wish everybody the best of luck," he added.
