Composer John Williams was nominated for best original score at the Academy Awards for his work in "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" Monday morning -- and in turn has broken his own Oscars record.
This nomination is the 52nd for the 87-year-old composer, making him the most nominated living person in Oscars history.
The most nominated person of all time, however, is still Walt Disney with 59 nominations.
Williams' first nomination was in 1968, for his work "Valley of the Dolls."
Of his 52 nominations, Williams has taken home five Oscars for his work in movies such as "Jaws" and "Schindler's List."
"Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" will be vying for the award against "Joker", "Little Women", "Marriage Story" and "1917."
