'Game of Thrones': ABSOLUTELY everything we know heading into season 8 premiere
Well, winter is finally, officially here.
After almost two years on hiatus, "Game of Thrones" season 8 is nearly upon us. The final run for Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen and company is about to happen for the last time.
There has been a ton of teasing heading into this final season, so here's all that we know thus far.
"Our enemy doesn't die, doesn't stop, doesn't feel"
Last month, HBO dropped the trailer for "GoT" season 8 and it was chilling.
We saw Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen march into Winterfell, with Sansa looking on as the dragons fly overhead.
When talking about the upcoming battle with the White Walkers and the Night King, Snow says, "Our enemy doesn't die, doesn't stop, doesn't feel."
We also got new looks at Tyrion and his hated sister Cersei. Fans got even more excited after watching the 2-minute clip.
A battle for the ages
Late last year, Entertainment Weekly reported from the friggin set!
"There are characters in the finale that I did not expect," including a lot of old characters we haven't seen in years, according to the EW reporter. "Season 8 opens at Winterfell with an episode that contains plenty of callbacks to the show’s pilot."
Daenerys is meeting with several other characters as they prepare for the the biggest threat their world has ever known: The Night King and his Army of the Dead.
Sansa isn't too happy with Jon's loyalty to Dany, and expect an epic action sequence that Peter Dinklage says makes season 6's "'Battle of the Bastards' look like a theme park."
We. Can't. Wait.
"An emotional wreck"
Also last year, Emilia Clarke told "GMA" that filming the final season was certainly emotional.
"It really is the most heartbreaking thing to be filming the last of anything," she said. "I've become an emotional wreck on set. They're like 'Emilia...it's OK' and I'm like, 'But it's the last time!'"
Also, Sophie Turner told EW that after reading the final scripts, "I felt numb, and I had to take a walk for hours.”
Kit Harington refused to read them in advance of the official table read. When they all read together, the actor "wept," according to EW.
Fans will need "therapy"
Gwendoline Christie, who plays the beloved Brienne of Tarth, told E News! that people might need to talk to someone after the series finale.
"You're going to need therapy," she said. "I think just the show ending is going to send all of the world into professional help."
She added, "I think it's going to make me incredibly emotional. We're all emotional about the fact that this is the end, and this is the end of something incredibly significant for all of us, and it's been a truly incredible thing to be a part of."

For the throne
In February, HBO released a series of 14 images promoting the eighth season on Wednesday featuring some of the series' most beloved characters.
Although the images don't give much away about the ending, they do confirm that some of the characters will appear in the final season. Plus, they showcase some new costumes.
