James Van Der Beek just shared a post to show off his physical transformation after competing on "Dancing with the Stars."

The actor and father, 42, who was eliminated in the semi-finals, posted a side-by-side comparison of his body before and after enduring intense dance training during season 28 of the hit show.

"Fight training vs. dancing ..." he captioned the shot. "I'd been training in Muay Thai three days a week for about six months (for the next project I'm writing) when I hit pause to dance six hours a day."

"Now I can rhumba 🕺🏼" he added.

Pro dancer Emma Slater, whom he competed alongside during the season, commented: "Both cut but you can see dancing really defines everything. Especially when you worked as hard as you did! In every way you are a huge advocate for dance @vanderjames!!!"

Van Der Beek also opened up on his competition diet in the comment section of the post.

"Lot of fruit, vegetables, lot of smoothies, salads. I danced early in the day so pretty much ate vegan until dinner," he shared. "Had to keep it light fare because we didn't really take breaks. Not so much a diet ... more like only wanting to eat what I knew would make me feel good under the workload."
