Jennifer Garner is showing that she's not afraid to experiment with her personal style and have some fun with her looks in front of the camera.
The actress, who currently stars in Apple TV+'s "The Last Thing He Told Me," shows off a wide range of styles in her new cover shoot for Allure's May issue.
In the shoot, Garner experimented with several different wigs, donning everything from a lavender bob wig for the cover shot to a '60s-inspired bowl-cut wig and a red shorter style.
In the accompanying interview with the outlet, Garner opened up on everything from motherhood to how her relationship with social media and what she shares publicly has evolved over the years.
Garner, who shares three children, Violet, 17, Seraphina, 14, and Samuel, 11, with ex-husband Ben Affleck, said she always knew motherhood was in her future. "I really could have been a mother in any way," she told the outlet. "I could have adopted, I could have fostered, but there was no doubt I was going to be a mom."
She said that when she had her oldest daughter, she was "such a first-time mom."
"I have a lot of faith in my kids. I don't love every behavior all the time, always. It's gnarly growing up," she told the outlet.
"We didn't have the eyes on us that our kids have," she continued. "[My eldest daughter] didn't have a shot. She couldn't have a free thought ... I was a nightmare for everyone around me."
She also spoke about how her openness with the public has grown in recent years as her children have gotten older.
"There were two decades where it was really hard to hold a conversation -- not in a woe-is-me, poor celebrity way. I was on baby watch every single day," she told Allure. "The day after I had a baby, [the paparazzi] were watching again. They kind of rush you through your life because they're just trying to get to the next stage of something they can sell."
She said that in becoming more visible online, she's found that the intense hounding from paparazzi has "calmed down."
"I'm not getting chased into the grocery store to have whatever is in my cart photographed," she told Allure. "Maybe my life is happily boring enough that there's nothing to see here. I think social media helped calm it down, actually. You have your own relationship with people."
