Jennifer Love Hewitt recalls 'super drunk' times with Betty White
Betty White is a "national treasure," said Jennifer Love Hewitt, who dished about what it is like having the "Golden Girls" alum as a friend and, even more, a reliable drinking buddy.
Speaking on "The Drew Barrymore Show" on Tuesday, the 41-year-old actress revealed how she and White, 99, used to kill time before quarantine -- which sometimes resulted in tipsy times.
"Pizza and vodka's her favorite," the "Ghost Whisperer" alum revealed. "She also loves hot dogs, and she cheats at Scrabble, horribly. But she's Betty White, so you just let her win!"
However, their shenanigans weren't always fun and games, Hewitt admitted, noting the time she thought she led White to her doom.
"One of the only times that I've been super drunk was with Betty in public," Hewitt confessed. "And she, like, veered off into a bush. And I thought, 'Oh my gosh. I'm going to kill the national treasure Betty White.'"
Thankfully, the three-time Emmy Award winner survived to sip vodka and chow down on pizza another day -- though they did have to pay for the damage she caused.
Hewitt also revealed how the acclaimed actress caps off her wild adventures, saying, "She loves to end her nights with you by eating gummy bears."
"She's everything you want her to be and more," the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" star gushed. "She's the best, and I just love her to pieces."
