Maren Morris introduces her newborn son, Hayes Andrew Hurd
Maren Morris' baby boy is here!
The singer and her husband, musician Ryan Hurd, announced their newborn son, Hayes Andrew Hurd, on social media on Monday.
This is the couple's first child. They married in 2018.
"Hayes Andrew Hurd. 3/23/20. Love of our lives," Morris captioned the series of photos on Instagram.
Morris, 29, confirmed in October 2019 that she and Hurd, 33, were expecting. She said that "the irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the 'GIRL' headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out."
"Girl" is the title of Morris' last album and one of her hit singles from it.
In February, Morris spoke openly about her changing body on social media. She said that despite experiencing lower back pain, "I have really enjoyed being pregnant."
"I hope this little boy is as kind to me on the outside as he’s been on the inside," she continued, "because I will miss his kicks."
