— -- Last night, Prince William and Duchess Kate met Beyoncé and Jay Z, and today, they rubbed elbows with the likes of Harvey Weinstein and Georgina Chapman, Sir Patrick Stewart, J. Crew executive creative director Jenna Lyons, and "The Good Wife" actress Archie Panjabi at a star-studded reception in Manhattan.

This afternoon, the royals attended the celeb-packed Creativity is GREAT reception, hosted by NeueHouse, to celebrate British creative talent based in New York City.

"They’re very kind people that really have this great ability to connect with people," Panjabi said of meeting the royals. "They were very generous with their time. They really do connect with people and it’s very nice to see that."

During their time at the reception, Will and Kate mingled with guests, speaking to them at four or five at a time. Weinstein said that his wife spoke with them about their children, while Lyons briefly chatted with Kate about meeting Beyoncé and Jay Z. Meanwhile, various foods, including mini Yorkshire puddings with roast beef, Scotch egg bites, and pea soup shooters, and drinks including cider, beer and wine, were served. Following a short video and brief remarks from the British ambassador, the royals were escorted out.

"They’re in great shape, and I know they’re enjoying themselves," the ambassador said. "They’re both here for the first time. So all this is a new experience. I think it’s going well, and they seem to be very pleased -— that’s what they say!"
