Trisha Yearwood has received her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The singer shared a photo on Instagram of herself wearing a mask that reads "Stay Safe," while a medical professional injects her with the vaccine.

"This #EveryGirl finally got her first dose of the vaccine! To all who made this day possible, thank you," the singer captioned the post, adding "#grateful."

Yearwood's husband, Garth Brooks, announced earlier this year that she had tested positive for the virus and in March, Yearwood revealed that she was COVID-19 free.

She shared her feelings on vaccine hesitancy during her Facebook Live show, "Coffee Talk," over the weekend.

"I know there’s a lot of talk about whether or not, whether to," she said. "For me, it felt like, when I found out that we were going to have a vaccine and that I was going to be able to get the vaccine -- and that we in the world were going to be able to be vaccinated -- I cried because I feel like it’s a gift from God."

During an appearance on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" last week, Yearwood also shared that she still doesn't have her full sense of taste and smell back after fighting COVID-19.

"It’s been about eight weeks," the singer recounted, also sharing that she first noticed the lack of smell and taste when Brooks brought her surprisingly "weak" coffee one morning.

"I can tell if something’s spicy. That’s about it," she said, adding that it’s a particularly inconvenient symptom since she’s an avid chef who of course has her own award-winning cooking show, "Trisha’s Southern Kitchen."
