Jill Zarin, an original cast member of "The Real Housewives of New York City," has been dropped from E!'s upcoming reunion series "The Golden Life" following controversy over comments she made on social media about Bad Bunny's Super Bowl LX halftime show.

Blink49 Studios, which is producing "The Golden Life," confirmed the decision in a statement to ABC News on Tuesday.

"In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in The Golden Life," the statement read. "We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values."

The move comes after Zarin shared a video on Instagram on Sunday, Feb. 8, criticizing Bad Bunny's halftime performance, which was delivered almost entirely in Spanish.

In the since-deleted post, she called the show "inappropriate," questioned its language and choreography, and suggested it was politically motivated.

The video was removed shortly after it was posted, and comments on Zarin's Instagram account were later turned off.

Bad Bunny's halftime show was a celebration of the superstar singer and rapper's Puerto Rican heritage and featured a number of his hit songs, many of them from his album "Debí Tirar Más Fotos," which won the award for album of the year at this year's Grammys on Feb. 1.

The show paid tribute to Latino culture more broadly and focused on a theme of unity and love over hate, with Bad Bunny closing out his performance by stating "God bless America" before naming dozens of countries across the Americas.

"Seguimo aquí," he added -- Spanish for "we're still here" -- before spiking a football printed with the words "Together we are America."

ABC News has reached out to Zarin's representative for comment.
