Taraji P. Henson shows off gorgeous red afro: 'Hair that grows towards the heavens'
Taraji P. Henson is fierce, fabulous and her latest hair look is fro-tastic!
On Sunday, she posted a striking image of herself rocking a red afro, lipstick and a beaded necklace. She captioned the photo, "Hair that defies gravity!!! Hair that grows towards the heavens."
The "Empire" star also added a series of empowering hashtags that include #BlackandProud #BlackLivesMatter #RockYourFro #PickoutYourFro and #ThrowUpYourFist.
The social media posting has garnered more than 475,000 likes for Henson's new look. Many also left comments expressing how much they love it, including actress Octavia Spencer who wrote, "I need this on a tee shirt."
Henson later posted a video where she is seen using an afro pick comb through her strands to the tunes of James Brown's famous hit song, "Say It Loud, I'm Black & I'm Proud."
While Henson has been known to wear many different hair looks, fans have been absolutely loving every time she shows off her natural curls.
In April, Henson shared a video where she discusses how she was able to achieve a pinned up curly hair look using all of her own TPH by Taraji hair products.
"COVID 19 got me doing my own glam from head to toe," she wrote in a caption. "If this acting thing don't work out I have another plan!"
Many Henson fans seem to be totally hair for it!
