After a long pause caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, New York Fashion Week is back.

Many shows, presentations and events started Wednesday and will continue to run through Sunday, Sept. 12.

While some designers have continued to opt for virtual affairs, others have taken safety precautions, such as requiring vaccination cards and mask-wearing, in order to host in-person shows.

Industry insiders and enthusiasts have been showing up in their best looks to see the collections -- most of which have been for spring and summer 2022.

This week, Kate Spade threw an immersive apple orchid brunch event in the heart of New York City and Gigi Hadid gorgeously glided along the runway for Proenza Schouler. But those were just two of the many events happening in the lively city this NYFW.

After over a year of lockdown, it's clear fashion month is here and going strong.

Check out some of the best moments from this week's fashion events and be sure to check back for more later this week.

Harlem's Fashion Row

Harlem's Fashion Row, an Influential Arts & Entertainment organization that engages audiences and aligns brand partners with emerging designers of color in fashion, held its 14th Annual Fashion Show & Style Awards on Sept. 7 -- and it was one of its greatest yet.

The show's theme was "Renaissance Forever" and highlighted Black-owned collections from TIER NYC, Harbison, June79 and many other brands.

Additionally, Zerina Akers, who often styles Beyoncé and other stars, was given the award for Stylist of the Year.

There were also appearances from Vogue's Anna Wintour and other industry icons.

Kate Spade's one-of-kind Big Apple-themed pop-up event displayed the label's limited-edition "I Love NY" collection and included appearances from notables such as Katie Holmes, Beanie Feldstein and more.

Guests were invited to pick a bushel of apples, all sourced from orchards located across the state of New York.

The apple orchard experience is now open to the public until Friday, Sept. 10.

Location: Gansevoort Plaza (9th Avenue at Gansevoort Street and Little West 12th Street)

Chrisitan Siriano

If anyone knows how to put on an extravaganza, it's Christian Siriano.

Model Precious Lee opened and closed the show, and she was seen wearing a hard-to-miss bright orange ball-style tulle skirt.

Siriano also gave fans a look at his latest collaboration with Gloria Vanderbilt, where models were seen parading the runway with cropped black tops and jeans.

There were also celebrities, such as rapper Lil' Kim, in attendance.

Proenza Scouler

Proenza Scouler's spring 2022 show was held at Little Island and featured notable models such as Gigi Hadid.

Guests got to see everything from mesmerizing monochromatic looks to pretty prints, and all-around great ensembles for the easy, breezy season ahead.

The show also marked Hadid's first return to New York Fashion Week after giving birth to her daughter, Khai.

Moschino

Moschino's creative director Jeremy Scott described the label's latest presentation to Vogue saying, “It's very ladies who lunch, but it's also nursery rhymes, so it's baby lady."

In addition to the lady-like ensembles and pulled-together updos, the show also had a diverse lineup of models including Antiguan American model Aaron Rose Philip -- which marked a big moment for inclusivity and representation within the Black disabled transgender community.

Other notable moments included new mother Gigi Hadid holding a large baby bottle as well as appearances from familiar faces such as model Precious Lee.

Michael Kors

Kendall Jenner opened Michael Kors runway show -- making it her first show of the season.
