Boffone and two of his students appeared on \"GMA's\" broadcast during the last school year, in May 2019, and showed off their moves.

Boffone said when the school year began, his father died, and once he began building relationships with his students, it helped him heal and fall in love with teaching again.

Boffone said he started Dubsmashing when he saw his students took an interest in it. He and the kids often choreograph moves together.

Dubsmash is an app for iOS and Android that allows users to lip sync over their favorite audio clips from sections of songs, movies or television.

In his latest video, viewed nearly 66,000 times, Boffone and two of his students demonstrate their morning greetings.

\"I'll fist bump, or I'll 'hit the woah,'\" Boffone explained.

Boffone now hosts workshops for other teachers who are interested in developing closer relationships with their students.
