Fishel announced her pregnancy on her 40th birthday in May.

\"I couldn't be more grateful to enter my 40's with my amazing husband and son, excitedly expecting the arrival of baby boy #2,\" she wrote in an Instagram post. \"My birthday wish is for all of you to tell someone how much you love them and walk through today with more patience than you normally might.\"

Fishel and Karp welcomed their first child, Adler, four weeks early in June 2019. Fishel gave birth after doctors discovered fluid in her son's lungs during an ultrasound.

Adler was held in the neo-natal intensive care unit for three weeks, and Fishel said she and her husband felt \"powerless and useless\" during this time.
