At each stop, residents of New Care gathered outside to watch Isla dig a hole and plant a tree. At some stops, Isla also took part in a traditional British tea party with residents.

“Isla has thoroughly enjoyed her mini royal tour, travelling around each of the New Care homes to plant a tree,\" Isla's mom, Alex Fairhurst, said in a statement. \"She has especially loved dressing up as The Queen, perfecting her royal wave and making our residents smile.\"

She continued, \"It is a real privilege for Isla to be involved in the Platinum Jubilee and by planting the tree she is playing her part in improving the environment and leaving a lasting legacy at each one of our care homes across the UK.”

The queen's Platinum Jubilee public celebration will kick off on June 2, with the traditional Trooping the Colour birthday celebration for the queen.

Other events planned that weekend include a Service of Thanksgiving, a public concert outside Buckingham Palace and a Platinum Jubilee Pageant, according to Buckingham Palace.

Queen Elizabeth is the first British monarch in history to reach a Platinum Jubilee.
