Alex Trebek is with us in spirit this Thanksgiving and despite the difficult year 2020 has proven for so many, he offered a posthumous message with a warm reminder that "there are many reasons to be thankful."
"Happy Thanksgiving ladies and gentlemen. You know, in spite of what America and the rest of the world is experiencing right now, there are many reasons to be thankful," he said in a pre-recorded clip that the show posted on Twitter Thursday. "There are more and more people extending helpful hands to do a kindness to their neighbors. And that's a good thing."
He continued, "Keep the faith, we're going to get through all of this and we will be a better society for it."
Trebek, the quick-witted and debonair television host who won over generations of fans at the helm of the popular quiz show ,"Jeopardy!," died at 80 earlier this month after a nearly two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
