Laura Dern

Laura Dern arrived with mother, Diane Ladd, to the 2020 Oscars. Dern won the best supporting actress Oscar for her role in "Marriage Story."

"She started crying," Dern told "Good Morning America"'s Lara Spencer about Ladd's reaction to her win. "I mean the last time she and I were together at the Oscars, we were nominated together for a film, "Rambling Rose." I was 23, I think."

Dern, whose father is legendary actor Bruce Dern, added, "I had the privilege of coming here with [Ladd] when I was a little girl and with my father in recent years with his nomination and so its really is dedicated to them. I share it so deeply with their amazing genius that I got to grow up around."
