Page opened up to TIME in March about how he had struggled with the disconnect in how the world saw him on magazine covers or on the red carpet versus how he felt.

"I just never recognized myself," he told the outlet. "For a long time I could not even look at a photo of myself."

Page came out as transgender in December 2020, sharing that their pronouns are he/they and saying: "I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive."

Page thanked fans for their support a few weeks later and has since opened up about his decision to share his truth and shared a shirtless poolside photo showing how happy he is these days.
