LeAnn Rimes reschedules shows due to 'bleed' on her vocal cords

LeAnn Rimes was forced to reschedule two upcoming concerts after she said her doctor found a "bleed" on her vocal cord.

"It completely and utterly breaks my heart to have to announce that I will be rescheduling this weekend's shows," the "How Do I Live" singer wrote in a handwritten note posted to Instagram on Wednesday.

"While sick with the flu, my doctor discovered a bleed on my vocal chord, caused by the violent cough that came along with being sick," she continued. "I am getting better, but I am unable to talk or sing...doctor's orders!"

"I am devastated to have to do this as there was nothing more that I was looking forward to than celebrating the holidays with you," the two-time Grammy winner added.

Rimes, who is currently on her "JOY: The Holiday Tour," told fans to "please refer to your emails / point of purchase for more information" and promised to "see you very soon."

In the comments section, fellow country crooner Tanya Tucker told Rimes to "get better soon honey" while Lisa Loeb said she was "sending healing" her way.

The "Can't Fight the Moonlight" singer was scheduled to perform at the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort in Riverside, Iowa, on Friday. This show has been rescheduled for Sept. 29, 2023.

Rimes' concert at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on Saturday has been rescheduled for April 8, 2023.
