Wake up like restaurateur and fitness personality Michael Chernow with his favorite breakfast or post-workout meal.

Chernow, who joined ABC News' Ginger Zee on the "GMA" Instagram account for a live conversation about fitness, wellness and nutrition, shared his go-to recipe for his protein oats dish.

This is Chernow's favorite way to start the day after training. It's like dessert to start the day, he says, but actually really healthy.
