Old Navy has debuted an electrifying television spot starring H.E.R. performing a rendition of George Michael's iconic "Freedom!" song.
Wearing a stylish Americana-themed look, the Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter adds a cool rock 'n' roll flair to the '90s hit as she plays an electric guitar throughout the streets of NYC.
As she beautifully belts out Michael's famous lyrics, the 23-year-old artist is wearing her signature sunglasses and a "tomboy chic" red, white and blue ensemble.
"I grew up shopping at Old Navy," H.E.R. said during a behind-the-scenes interview when asked what interested her about Old Navy's latest campaign. "That was where I went school shopping, and that's where my mom would take me, so it's like a personal full circle moment for me, the concept and everything I just thought was so fun."
"Even just talking about freedom and everything going on in the world, I just felt like it was perfect timing," she said.
"Freedom to me means happiness," H.E.R. said. "It means not living in fear. It means joy. It means just being able to live and also being able to do what you love."
