Bachelor Peter Weber talks on-set injury, reconnecting with Hannah Brown
With just one week until the premiere of the new season of "The Bachelor," the show's new star, Peter Weber, is getting ready to take flight.
In a new interview in the latest issue of People magazine on newsstands now, the pilot-turned-TV star shared details on what to expect this season and addressed the infamous "windmill incident."
"Honestly, my private life is my private life," Weber told People. "I don't like that that defines me, I don't want that to define me. I wanted to leave that in the past and look forward."
Weber, who starred in the last season of "The Bachelorette" with Hannah Brown, shared an intimate night with the "Dancing With the Stars" winner in a windmill, but was ultimately sent home in part because he wasn't as open about his feelings as some of the other contestants.
But recent trailers teasing the new season show Weber being surprised by the "Bachelorette" star and even asking Brown to be part of the group of women vying for his heart.
"It's 100% real," said Weber. "All those emotions were real and they resurfaced. You guys have to tune in to see what happens."
The 28-year-old even addressed the headlines about his injury that had Bachelor Nation holding their breath.
"People thought I lost like half my face," said Weber. "Honestly, it was just a freak accident -- 22 stitches, yeah, now I got a good battle scar. The next day I remember going on a date so it wasn't that bad of an injury like everyone thought."
With filming on the new season wrapped, Weber also opened up about his new outlook on being a hopeless romantic.
"Being the Bachelor now, I've changed that I'm not a hopeless romantic," he said. "I'm a romantic -- because I've never lost hope that that next person I find is gonna be my forever."
