Former Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams announces father's death

Just days before Christmas, Michelle Williams is left mourning the loss of her father, Dennis Williams.

The former Destiny’s Child singer shared the news Sunday on Instagram, along with a photo of her 68-year-old dad.

"I just don’t know what to say or where to start. Daddy, you fought harder than those of us that are in good health. For 15 years, you FOUGHT!!! You truly outlived moments where we thought you wouldn’t make it!" she wrote.

Williams said her mother, Anita Williams, sang to him the night before and he "looked so content and had a look of peace in [his] eyes."

"You weren’t in any pain either. The Lord took you in his arms this morning and I’m so thankful that you are resting in Him! I love you Daddy!" she concluded, sharing her father's lifespan: Nov. 13, 1952 to Dec. 20, 2020.

Williams received tons of supporting messages and prayer emojis in the comments from the likes of Tamar Braxton, Lecrae, Yvonne Orji, Jermaine Dupri and more -- including Beyoncé's mother, Tina Lawson.
