Prince Harry, Meghan Markle to bring kids Archie and Lilibet to UK in July
Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, will visit the United Kingdom in July with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, a spokesperson for the family confirmed Friday.
The Sussexes, who live in California, will spend five days in the U.K., from July 7 to July 11, according to the spokesperson.
The visit will be the first publicly known trip to the U.K. for Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, since June 2022, when the family attended Platinum Jubilee celebrations for Harry's grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.
It will also be Meghan's first known visit to the U.K. since she and Harry attended the queen's funeral in September 2022.
The family's visit in July will focus on several charities with which Harry is involved, including Scotty's Little Soldiers, Wellchild, and Invictus Games, a Paralympic-style competition for wounded service members that Harry, a military veteran, launched over a decade ago.
Harry will attend several events in Birmingham, England, as the city prepares to host the 2027 Invictus Games next summer.
Archie and Lilibet will not attend public events with their parents, ABC News understands.
It is not known whether Harry's father King Charles III, his brother Prince William, with whom he has a strained relationship, or other royal family members will see the Sussexes during their visit.
Harry, who moved with Meghan to the U.S. in 2020, has spoken previously about wanting to bring his children to the country of his birth, saying that ongoing security concerns have remained a key issue.
In May 2025, Harry lost an appeal challenging the British government's decision to reduce his publicly funded security after he and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties and moved to California.
Following the ruling, Harry told the BBC that he did not believe it was safe to bring Meghan and their children to the United Kingdom under the existing security arrangements at the time.
Since moving to California, the Sussexes have relied on a privately funded security team.
Neither the Sussexes nor Buckingham Palace have commented on the family's security arrangements for their upcoming trip.
