See Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo in spellbinding final 'Wicked: For Good' trailer

The final trailer for the second "Wicked" film arrived Wednesday, featuring Oscar-nominated stars Ariana Grande as Glinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba.
Directed again by Jon M. Chu, "Wicked for Good" begins with Elphaba and Glinda estranged and follows their journey of needing to mend their friendship to save Oz, for good.
The trailer opens with Glinda putting on her crown and goes onto show a confrontation between Glinda and Elphaba, with the latter telling Glinda, "You can wave that wand all you want, but you have no real power."
"Wicked: For Good" is the final chapter of the untold story of the witches of Oz, according to a synopsis for the film.
As the trailer shows, at the beginning of the movie, Elphaba and Glinda are estranged.
"As Glinda’s stardom expands and she prepares to marry Prince Fiyero in a spectacular Ozian wedding, she is haunted by her separation from Elphaba. As Glinda’s stardom expands and she prepares to marry Prince Fiyero (Olivier award winner and Emmy and SAG nominee Jonathan Bailey) in a spectacular Ozian wedding, she is haunted by her separation from Elphaba," the synopsis continues, "The aftershocks will transform Boq and Fiyero forever, and threaten the safety of Elphaba’s sister, Nessarose, when a girl from Kansas comes crashing into all their lives."
In addition to Grande and Erivo, also returning in "Wicked: For Good" are Jeff Goldblum as the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Oscar-winning Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Marissa Bode as Nessarose and Tony nominee Ethan Slater as Boq.
"Wicked" and "Wicked: For Good" are based on Gregory Maguire's 1995 book, "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West," which was inspired by L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz."
The musical adaptation of Maguire's story opened on Broadway in 2003.
The original cast included Kristin Chenoweth as Glinda, Idina Menzel as Elphaba and Robert Morse as the Wizard. Norbert Leo Butz played Fiyero, Michelle Federer portrayed Nessarose and Carole Shelley played Madame Morrible.
At the 2025 Academy Awards, "Wicked" had 10 nominations. It won Oscars for best costume design and best production design.
"Wicked: For Good" arrives in theaters Nov. 21, 2025.
