Toast is rapidly proving to be the new favorite trend on food TikTok and for good reason.

The latest variation with melty burrata cheese, marinara sauce, sweet tomatoes and decadent truffle oil came from Hailey Bieber who shared her snack recipe that's racked up over 2.9 million views on the social media platform.

Even chef Mario Carbone of the famed New York City Italian hotspot beloved by celebrities -- including Bieber -- hopped on the trend over the weekend. His riff added calabrian chili paste and anchovies for a chef-approved added depth of flavor.

Check out how to recreate the pizza toast at home in your own kitchen.

Easy Baked Pizza Toast

Ingredients
Sliced bread (sourdough or foccacia)
Butter
Olive oil
Squeeze of lemon juice
Fresh tomatoes
Pizza or marinara sauce
Cheese, we used a mix of ricotta and shredded mozzarella
Fresh herbs of choice, we used basil
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Slice tomatoes and drizzle with olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper to marinate while you prepare the toast.
Butter the sliced bread on both sides and heat with a small amount of olive oil in a skillet or flattop over medium high heat until golden brown on both sides.
Place the bread on a sheet tray and add a small drizzle of truffle oil. Add your cheese, Bieber used burrata and we tried it with a mix of ricotta and shredded mozzarella. Add sliced tomatoes to the top.
Cook in the oven for five to eight minutes until cheese is melted as desired.
Warm-up marinara or pizza sauce in a pan.
Remove toast from the oven and add a spoonful of sauce to the top. Optional to add more cheese and return to the oven to melt and finish warming through.
Plate the toast and add garnish of choice, red pepper flake, fresh basil, oregano and/or parmesan cheese.
Serve and enjoy!
