Beverages bubbling up in 2026 have one thing in common: a taste of nostalgia from Shirley Temples to root beer floats.

With many people hitting reset on their health goals at the start of the new year, opting to forgo alcohol during "Dry January," an abundance of tasty nonalcoholic (or "NA") beverage options have taken over the market, including one classic concoction that has been re-gaining popularity, the Shirley Temple.

The tried and true NA drink is one of the original mocktails and takes its name from the former child actress, Shirley Temple. It contains ginger ale -- or lemon-lime soda -- grenadine, and a maraschino cherry garnish.

More recently, the iconic mocktail inspired two high-fiber beverage brands, Olipop and Poppi, to craft their own version of the drink.

Olipop's Shirley Temple flavor soda is described as "the original mocktail, reimagined," according to the brand's website.

Olipop has launched a new Shirley Temple-inspired flavor for a limited time.

"Inspired by the iconic mocktail, the flavor delivers a deliciously sweet nostalgic taste, but with Olipop's signature low-sugar, high-fiber formula," the company told ABC News in an announcement.

Olipop's modern twist includes a blend of tart cherry, white grape, lemon, and lime, and has just 5 grams of sugar and 50 calories per can. The limited-time flavor is available for $2.49 per can through the end of March and can be purchased online and at retailers including Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger and Albertsons.

Poppi, meanwhile, debuted its own take on the nostalgic favorite, but said its version will have a permanent place in the brand's portfolio of flavors.

Poppi launched a new Shirley Temple flavor with just 5 grams of sugar per can.

Poppi described its drink as "a bright mix of citrus and soft grenadine-style cherry sweetness with a bold, clean finish."

The reimagined classic from Poppi also contains just 5 grams of sugar and is 30 calories per can.

Poppi Shirley Temple is now on sale at Walmart, Kroger, and Amazon, with Target, Publix and additional retailers coming soon.

To add to the nostalgia mix in 2026, Chick-fil-A has announced a slate of new beverages inspired by old school soda fountain favorites, with frosted sodas and floats joining the fast food chain's permanent menu.

The frosted sodas are hand-spun with "Icedream" and customers' choice of fountain beverage, while the floats are layered with soda and "Icedream" to create a fizzy treat that can be sipped or scooped.

Core flavors available include Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper, and Sprite, with additional options including Fanta, Powerade, Hi-C, Barq's Root Beer, and Diet options.
