The actor also shared how he can't wait for fans to see the rest of season three.

Season three explores the friends-to-lovers romance between Penelope and Colin. Fans of the show were first introduced to Penelope and Colin's friendship -- and Penelope's one-sided attraction -- in previous seasons of the hit series by Shonda Rhimes, which is based on Julia Quinn's popular novels.
When it came to tackling the intimate scenes in the show, Coughlan shared how filming those scenes was empowering.

\"There was so much build up to it and having read the books and seen season one, even then you're thinking, 'Is that going to be us'?\" Coughlan said. \"And I think we were so supported and prepared and we had trust in one another. So when you build up something for a long time and it actually comes off well, you feel elated. And then we had pizza and champagne after.\"
